“‘In the last days, God says,
‘I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.'”
In the fifth chapter of the letter to the Hebrews we find an exhortation (pictured below) to not only be teachers of God’s Word, but also to be students of God’s Word.
Apollos, “an eloquent man, well versed in the Scriptures,” found the righteous teachers whom helped him to grow into spiritual maturity in Prisca (Priscilla) and her husband, Aquila.
“Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord and was fervent in spirit. He spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him in and explained to him the way of God more accurately.” (Acts 18:24-26)
Later in the The Acts of the Apostles (21:8-9), we find four more women who served the early church. These four women remain nameless, simply remembered as Philip’s daughters who prophesied.
Raised in the Episcopalian church founded by her parents, Paige Rogers and her family incurred, and continue to carry, tremendous sadness in departing their beloved church after the denomination’s national leadership embraced unbiblical beliefs.
Recognizing that there has been a great void in courageous, outspoken doctrinal clarity from the vast majority of church leaders, and inspired by the Biblical accounts of Prisca and Philip’s four daughters, Paige Rogers began this online ministry to share the unpolluted Word of God through her gift of painting.
Honoring and fully trusting in God, Paige Rogers has embraced her role as a woman in the church.
As such, she does not lead a church.
This unique, online ministry allows Pastor Paige to share God’s Word through her art and her words, always allowing the Holy Spirit to work through her.
Paige’s purpose is to honor God through her artworks by sharing her Christian reflections, calling on Biblical truths and sound exegesis.
She is also a former Early Childhood Development professional, and an avid history/civics enthusiast.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” -Psalm 51:10
Just as Jesus challenged the religious and populous leaders of his time, making him extremely unpopular, so too have some begun to be ostracized because of their practice of reflecting upon and adhering to the Bible and to Jesus’s words. With this in mind, readers of this blog with likely be presented with an inconvenient truth at one point or another. Please read each post with an openness of heart, a humbleness of heart, and a clean heart, so that you may receive the Holy Spirit’s special message just for you.
